Jeff Otterson

Brief Introduction

Originally from Minneapolis, MN, Jeff moved to Denver in 2011. After a few years, he decided to come up to the mountains full time. He has over 20+ years of restaurant experience ranging from casual, to cocktail bars, to fine dining. Jeff feels most at home out in nature with activities like fly fishing, snowboarding, photography, camping, hiking, and riding his bike. He loves to travel whenever possible and he is a very adventurous eater! His endless curiosities include science, history, music, and outer space.

Why Wine?

Having been a General Manager for the last 6 years, Jeff had always been drawn to the wine side of things! Wine has always been a passion but he really wanted to dive in deeper and create a career that was more specialized to the wine industry. Selecting & showcasing wines for the guests and training his co-workers during wine class just felt natural.

He found his wine study to be incredibly fun, inspiring, and challenging. There's so much to learn and Jeff thoroughly enjoys turning a guest onto something new that they absolutely love.

What Does Being Local Mean?

Local comes down to a sense of being connected and immersed within the community. It's having an emotional connection to the area and finding ways to give back. Jeff believes we get tripped up a lot in mountain towns by the grumpy long-time residents, but as long as we are willing to be kind to the surroundings and the people who live amongst us, we’ll be in a good position to be an important part of the local community.
